Applying For Wireless Network Access (For Windows users)

For Ateneo de Manila Employees

  1. Determine your wireless LAN card's unique Media Access Control (MAC) Address, which is a twelve character string composed of the numbers 0 to 9 and the letters A to F:

  • Inspect the exterior of your wireless LAN card and look for markings that say something like "MAC Address", "Physical Address", or just plain "MAC".

    • Click on the Windows Start button on the lower left corner of the screen.
The Start Menu will pop up. Select Run. The Run window will open.

    • Double-click on the input field next to Open: then type command and click on OK .

    • A Command Prompt window will open. Type ipconfig /all.

    • In the resulting output, look for the section with the description of your wireless LAN card and note the line that says "Physical Address". This is your card's MAC address.

  • If the above procedure does not apply to your mobile computing device, please consult your operating system's manual.
